Chains

Chains

If only I were free
of the love chains that bind me
the hate chains
the hurt chains
the grief that entwines me.

If only it were simple
and easy to be free
of the knots
and the tightly wound springs.

…….

I found the key
to the lock on my heart.

Chains bring together
what pain pulls apart.

Grief shared
is grief spared.
